I had a colonoscopy and EDG today and it turned out fine, except I had too much acid in my stomach which my doctor thinks is causing some digestive problems that I've been having. So I was wondering if there are any natural remedies for this. My doctor told me to take Prilosec, but I'm not really into prescriptions. Please help!
1) Seek a reputable TCM Dr. (acupuncturist) for needles and herbs. Can totally restore your body's natural balance.
2) Natural remedies to buy:
--DGL licorice tablets (don't overdo licorice, Google this product for info) but indispensible to your condition
--Slippery elm root (very soothing, awesome for your condition
--LOTS of Ginger in everything: tea, food, juice, raw, can't over-do the ginger
--Chamomile and it's non-relative "Roman Chamomile" as tea, very good for your stomach
3) Foods to avoid:
Peppers, spicy foods, red meat, mint (depends may be ok for you), try going without wheat it may help you or not, coffee, black tea, onions, (do research for TCM heating foods to avoid)
4)Foods to eat regularly:
-- leak/potato soup
--replace onions with leaks in everything
-- root veggies (carrots, turnips, radish, potato, yam, lotus root...)
--Cucumber is very cooling
--melon, may be too cooling
--RICE should be a staple for you, very good for your belly
--meats: fish, duck, and chicken (a little warming, but better than beef) no red meat.
5) PLEASE DON'T TAKE PRILOSEC:
My bf was on it for years to control his acid reflux. We believe it made him considerably more susceptible to infections and viruses. Ending in a horrid bout of campylobacter bacteria which had him in the hospital for days pucking and s***ing his guts out. So not fun. You don't digest food properly while you are on it, and Dr.'s just give it away. It's disgusting. Totally throws your body off balance. Seek Traditional Chinese Medicine help. He is totally off Prilosec now thanks to regular acupuncture and herbs.
For just a few pennies and stuff you probably already have in your kitchen, you can get rid of your bronchitis and heartburn faster than over the ...
I've had an upset stomach for the last few days. It has felt like indegestion, then it starts to feel like simple pain bot accompanied with nasuea. I've been doing the whole pepto bismal and tums treatment, but it hasn't helped. Does anyone have an rememdies that doesn't include these medicines. I really would prefer some natural remedies or even different teas to try. Thanks!
First, make sure you are not pregnant. No, I'm not kidding!
We don't want to hurt any babies here.
Ginger is a specific for nausea and heartburn. Grated ginger
root, steeped for five minutes in boiling hot water, cooled and
drink. Or, mint; peppermint is best, followed by spearmint,
chocolate mint. Steep the same in a tea.
Limit your intake of sugars, spicy food, acidic food. And if the
pain continues, please see your doctor. You may have an
ulcer. which could cause these symptoms.
Good luck and better health to you.
i get stomach aches a lot, and I cant take medicines very well. does anyone have any remedies for it?
Ginger anything does not help with pain. Ginger is only good for nausea. Peppermint is good if you have indigestion and need help moving the food along, but it will not help with stomach pain.
Honestly, if you have stomach aches, a heating pad is the only thing you can do. And the heat does help. It relaxes the muscles that are cramping up inside causing the pain.
I used to get stomach aches all the time. The doctors said there is no medicine that cures a stomach ache. Years later, I got into natural medicine, discovered that nothing in natural medicine helped a stomach ache either. (Did find a cure for hiccups though! LOL.) Then I decided to try a heating pad one day and it worked! Been using it for stomach aches since. Wish I had thought of it (or someone had told me about it) years ago.

I woul like to know if anyone knows of a natural remedie for a stomach ulcer.
Tallbrian has got a few good ideas in there to help prevent it from getting worse, but there are actually a couple things that can heal and soothe it.
First and foremost is DGL (Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice)... it helps to coat the esophagus, stomach, and intestinal tract and soothe it. It doesn't taste the best, but it works very well... I've even used it to help heal a mouth ulcer (canker sore).
Also, Aloe Vera can help soothe the stomach because it soothes any tissue it touches. It probably won't specifically heal the ulcer, but it can help soothe any tissue that may be exposed in the stomach.
In any case, I wish you good luck!
I just wanted to know what I could use to alleviate stomach pains besides medicines? I'd rather not drink any dairy products being lactose intolerant. Are their certain teas or anything else that coud help?
You could try an enema filled with jello.
It may not help your nausea, but it will give you something to do.

How to Get Flat Stomach | Flat Abdomen Diet, Exercises and Tips
In obese it is also stored in their muscle tissues also.
Flat stomach can be achieved only through regular exercise and healthy program which includes dietary support. First and foremost exercise program should be regularized. Avoid heavy weight exercise and one should concentrate more on aerobic exercise. This exercise should be done as far as possible out in the clean open air. By doing this one can lose weight in a healthy way and build strength. 120 calories are burned out by walking for one hour while 440 calories are burned out by jogging for an hour. But in obese people much of the body fats is store in the abdominal region hence walking is the ideal exercise for stomach muscles
