I don't want to take pills but I need something to help me sleep more than a few hours. Are there any natural remedies anyone can recommend? I've tried warm milk, hot chocolate etc. So far no good.

if go to a natural/homeopathy store ask for Valerian root or Melatonin.
Both are natural sleep aids to be taken roughly 30 minutes before plan to sleep. As sparker said drink as a tea.
Kava is also meant to be good as a sleeping aid.
Another method is to hold your breath and then slowly exhale, this increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the body which is a natural anesthesia.
Then ok course the old things of counting sheep, which is supposed to help as focuses brain on one thing and allows other areas to go to sleep.
Other than that cut our caffeine, exercises about an hour before sleep.

i'm 35weeks 3days and CANNOT get decent sleep. it's affecting me in really bad ways. i'm slacking at work, crabby all the time and being WAY too lazy. What are some natural sleep remedies that you have used, or heard of? Do they work?
I had the worst time sleeping when I was pregnant - it started around there, too. I've never been a big pillow user, but I found that having a TON of pillows really helped me a lot. I put one between my legs, a thin one under my gigantic stomach for support, something under my head, and at least one pillow tucked against my lower back - usually a really long, thinner one, so I could still move some.
Walking a lot a few hours before I went to bed sometimes helped me, because my body was so tired. I was told by the hospital that I could take a low dose of bennadryll (SP?!) if I was having too much trouble sleeping. Sometimes it makes people jittery, but sometimes it makes them sleepy. Depends on the person.
Sometimes I am just lying there and unable to sleep. I have tried reading but doesn't work. I can't drink tea or anything for that matter two hours before I go to sleep or I will have to sleep on the toilet from going to the bathroom so frequently :)
Sorry I don't know of any natural sleep remedies, but i do know that it is ok to take Unisom while your pregnant.... My midwife actually recommended it to me along with B6 for morning sickness.... Good Luck! I miss my sleep too :(
