My Fiance suffers from hay fever, she takes a spray for it but it's still really bad. What else can she do?

Euphrasia: This remedy can be helpful if the eyes are swollen and irritated with acrid tears or pus. The nose also runs, but with a blander discharge. Ferrum phosphoricum: This is a very useful remedy in the early stages of any inflammation. Taken when allergy symptoms start, it often slows or stops an episode. Symptoms include runny eyes with a burning or gritty feeling, facial flushing, watery nose, and short, hard, tickling cough.

Gelsemium: A tired, droopy feeling during allergies with a flushed and heavy-feeling face suggest a need for this remedy. A sensation of dryness or of swollen membranes may be felt inside the nose—or the nose may run with irritating watery discharge, with the person sneezing frequently. Aching in the back of the head and neck, a trembling feeling, and chills along the spine are often seen when a person needs Gelsemium.

Natrum muriaticum: Allergy attacks with sneezing, watery eyes, clear nasal discharge that resembles egg white, and a loss of taste and smell will all suggest a need for this remedy. The person may have dark circles under the eyes, be thirsty, feel withdrawn and sad, and act irritable if comforted.

Nux vomica: If the nose is alternately stuffed up (especially outdoors or at night) and running (indoors and in the daytime), this remedy may bring relief. Other symptoms include a teasing cough, a scraped or tickly feeling in the throat, and headache. A person who needs this remedy often feels impatient, irritable, and chilly.

Sabadilla: Long paroxysms of sneezing, itching in the nose with irritating runny discharge, a feeling of a lump in the throat, and watery eyes will all suggest a need for this remedy. The person may feel nervous during allergy attacks, and trying to concentrate can bring on drowsiness or headache.

Wyethia: Intolerable itching felt on the roof of the mouth and behind the nose—sometimes extending into the throat and ears—strongly suggests the use of this remedy. Everything in the person’s head feels dry and irritated, but the nose may still be runny.

There is no natural remedy for a fever other than a lukewarm bath. That will help bring it down, but it will not help keep it down. You need to give her Infant Tylenol or Motrin for a fever. Congestion you can use a cool mist humidifier and Vicks BabyRub to help ease it. If her fever goes up to 103, you need to give her pediatrician a call.

The best remedies for hay fever can be found in alternative medicine; namely homeopathy.

I have personally treated and cured multiple patients suffering from different forms of hay fever and allergies.

Hayfever is part of a deep constitutional condition.
It is normally related to the sycotic miasm and the most success I have had is with Nat Sulph 6X - 3 tablets to be take 6 hourly preferably empty-stomached or 30-45 minutes before or after meals.

The above remedy is more relevant to tree pollen allergy. The other head remedies I have personally found to be most efficacious are as below:

1. Lachesis 1 M (1000) - first to be taken for 3 days; single dose - 3/4 drops in 1/4th glass of water preferably empty-stomached or 30-45 minutes before or after meals.

Then one dose after 15 days thereafter for the duration of the hay fever season.

2. Sabadilla 30 - to be taken in case you get a bout of sneezing.

I had a spleenectomy 4 years ago and have regular vaccinations each year to avoid contracting any nasty flu viruses but for the last 6 weeks i have been struck down with glandular fever. As my immune response is even lower than a normal persons, I was wonderinfg if there were any particular natural remedies I could take which would help in overcoming this illness? My glands are extremely swollen, I have a very sore throat, head aches and achey body, no appetite

No, alternative natural remedies will not help you, neither is there any evidence it will help anyone or anything. There are no cure for virus's, you'll just have to ride it out. Get plenty of rest, take paracetamol for pain and it will pass. You must make sure you eat though, don't allow yourself to get weak and 'run down' I had glandular fever when I was doing my A levels. I remember my GP saying, "you won't die, you just feel like your going to!"
