Natural Remedies For Conjunctivitis

I am just getting over a sinus infection and lucky me I woke up with pink eye today. Since it's a Sunday, I would like to find something to get it treated today. I don't want to have to wait to see the doctor because I have classes and I don't want to miss them because of the pink eye. I've heard that the use of liquid colloidal silver works wonders for pink eye but I don't know where to find it other than the online stores. And I'm interested in any other remedies people may know about. I live near a wal-mart, GNC, kroger, meijer, walgreens, and cvs. We have a Wild Oats - Whole Foods about 30 minutes away and I might drive there as a last resort.

Many who manufacture colloidal Silver is in reality not true "colloidal" but rather a cheaper version,they are sold under the names of silver protein,and or Ionic silver! It is difficult to distinguish what is true colloidal silver! One sure way is to hold it up to the light and if it has a light golden tent it is most likely true colloidal and if it is clear,most likely it has particle silver traces and not pure colloidal silver at all and it is expensive! have had deep freezing of eye lids, numerous eyes drop, we are looking to treat cause natural herbs or whatever we can, He suffers bad!
For the past three years we have tried several doctors, eye drops, cutting of large papillae & deep freeze, nothing has helped. If anyone knows of a natural remedie, herb or any information please help he is bed ridden and in alot of pain!

Find a new Ophthalmologist for your son. He shouldn't have to suffer as much as he has. Poor kid, I hope he gets the help that he needs.

Well I am reasonably sure that Belladonna which is a homeopathic remedy is used to cure pink eye, works wonders. I would suggest you consult a Homeopath. Children respond to it very well. and you are wise not to use antibiotics which can make a healthy person sick let alone babies.

We just got a new kitten as a friend for our cat -- he had conjunctivitis when we got hinm, he's now getting over that, but our cat has just started with it now.

Are they going to keep setting eachother off with it once the other is getting over it?
Also -- know of any natural home remedies for cat conjunctivitis?

Conjunctivitis is an infection of the eye that can be caused by several conditions. So the reason for the conjunctivitis has to be ascertained.

The best way to have this treated and to prevent them from passing it back and forth because the bacteria or virus was not addressed, is to have a veterinarian examine them both and prescribe the most appropriate medication based on the diagnosis.

So any "natural home remedy" is basically useless since it will not appropriately treat the underlying condition that is causing the conjunctivitis.

I have a cat that develops conjunctivitis from time to time as he has ocular herpes. We have the right meds for him so when he has a flare we can treat him and stave off ulceration of the cornea.
