I feel like I have the start of a chest infec coming, I get them quite a bit when the weather starts to get cold so know when i'm feeling a bit run down.
Does anyone know any remedies for a bad chest that can stop a really bad one coming on?
Is there anything natural I can take to boost my imunity? I don't want to take cough medicines etc because at this stage i'm not too sick, and cough medicines are usually quite strong. Thanks!
Well if you have any faith in alternative remedies then try chinese herbs and phosperous (homea-pathic). Also take a lot of vitamin C and drink warm water with honey and lemon. I promise this always helps me with chest infections. I barely ever have them.

I got 2 wisdom teeth pulled yesterday and my oral surgeon prescribed me Clindamycin HCl. I'm having shortness of breath from it, a metalic taste in my mouth, some skin itching, and occasional chest pains. I have discontinued this med, however I am worried about how my gums are healing and I'm scared of getting a bacterial infection, so is there an effective natural remedy that would work?
Clindamycin is an higher generation anti biotic, try some thing lighter like Amox 250, 3 times a day. Keep your mouth clean by properly cleaning them, brushing & gargling with mouth wash.
A constant, nagging cough may point to a case of acute or chronic bronchitis. According to research or other evidence, the following self-care steps may get those lungs back in shape:

I get them in spurts, simultaneously. Its been a year, but now I dont have health scam assistance (insurance) and I have only 4 total days worth of antibiotics. I am familiar with many natural remedies, but I wonder if someone else can suggest something moe betta.
Garlic tea. Chop up a garlic clove and let it steep in some hot water. You could also add some to a hot cup of chicken broth.
Spoonful of raw local honey(natural antibiotics) from your local food co-op every 4-6 hours should do wonders as well.
Always remember the standard doctor suggestion-rest and fluids. Your body can deal with most things on its own with plenty of fluids and plenty of rest. Even if you're already getting a sufficient 6-10 hours of sleep a night(dependent on your personal rhythm), try taking a 20 minute nap once or twice during the day.
When you are ill with chest infections, colds, sore throats Etc Do you have any remedies that are not store bought or prescribed? im currently on antibiotics for a nasty chest infection and curious what personal remedies people have.
My mother in law is a natural health consultant and years ago taught me the following tricks which I SWEAR BY!
Drink lemon water. It helps balance your PH. When your PH is balanced it is much harder for any unwanted organism to thrive. Just squeeze a quarter of a lemon into a glass of water and toss in the peel. It's very tasty actually.
Mix a solution of half water half apple cider vinegar (or whatever ratio you can tolerate) and gargle it three times, spitting it out the first two times and swallowing the third time. This helps correct the PH specifically in the throat.
Also just drinking a glass of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar helps PH.
Garlic is a proven natural antibacterial. Just peel a small clove and suck it like a lozenge. No need to bite it, though you can, sometimes that spicy sting is comforting because it slightly numbs the mouth.
Just suck garlic all day or long as you can. It really works!
Feel better soon.
