What natural remedies work to reverse baldness?

What natural remedies work to reverse and prevent baldness? My doctor says I have the early symptoms of a classic case of female pattern baldness. What do you think I should do?

I was tested for PCOS and I definitely do not have it.

My dermatologist said that I have extra estrogen but it's almost like my testosterone is attacking my estrogen, and its making my hair fall out- Have you ever heard of such a thing? It's sounds so strange to me. What supplements could be recommended for this strange tendency?

I lost about 2/3 of my hair several years ago. I went to a specialist recommended by the dermatologist. She said there was nothing that could be done but I could try Extra strength Rogaine for Men. I did but it didn't work for me. You may want to try it.

How can you prevent baldness?

I'm 23 and getting a bigger forehead by the year. It's frightening to say the least. I do not want a skullet. With all the medical advances, there has to be some method to prevent or cure baldness. Anybody know some natural remedies to cure it?

Male pattern baldness is genetic and caused by hormones - you have too much of an enzyme that is converting your testosterone into dihydrotestosterone which causes the hair to thin out and fall quickly and grow slowly.

I don't think there are any natural remedies to cure this imbalance, unfortunately. You might want to see your doctor and find other medical solutions. You don't want to be the guinea pig of businessmen out there and try things randomly as this might interfere with your hormones and cause side-effects and complications (and cure nothing at all). Alternatively, you can recourse to cosmetic surgery and hair implants.

Natural Remedies for Thinning Hair: Male Pattern Baldness ...

Hair loss that occurs in patches is called alopecial areata. It is usually a temporary condition that seldom results in total baldness. Hormonal changes during midlife cause androgenetic alopecia, AGA, or male pattern baldness, and men aren't the only ones affected. Post menopausal women also contend with the same type of hair loss although it is usually less severe. Other causes of hair loss include mites, illnesses such as diabetes, lupus, and thyroid disease, malnutrition, poor circulation, fungal infections and chemicals such as bleaches or hair dyes.

Living with Mites

Demodex follicularium, a generally harmless species of tiny mites that inhabit human hair follicles, have been implicated in processes that contribute to balding. The problem occurs if the body has an inflammatory reaction to the mites. If the scalp closes down hair follicles to kill the mites it also kills the hair. Reducing inflammation may prevent hair thinning due to mites. Methylsulfonomethane (MSM), is an organic form of sulfur that helps to nourish the hair, skin, and nails and stop inflammation. It has a slight blood thinning effect; consult a physician before combining with other blood thinners.
