Well, unfortunately, nobody knows what causes ADD or ADHD... and since natural supplements really help to nourish your body and help with whatever deficiency is causing a certain problem, it's impossible to say "this will cure ADD". However, there are several natural products that help with brain health and things along that line.
You can try Ginkgo Biloba, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Phosphatidylserine, Fish Oil, Vinpocetine, Huperzine A, Bacopa Monnieri (or Monniera), or Alpha-GPC. Those are the most popular products for memory and brain support that help a LOT of different people.
Aside from pills, you can always do mental exercises, too. Playing games (like the children's game "Memory") or using memory tricks (mnemonic devices, etc) can also help to work the pathways in your brain that are responsible for memory or concentration. It may take some time to get it straightened out, but once you do, you will be able to overcome all sorts of things. Good luck!

I've seen some studies using fish oil/omega 3's. I'm looking for I guess you could say an action plan. I have ADD but I will not take medicine. Partially because I can't afford it and partially because I think we are overmedicated as a whole. Any help would be appreciated. Please put links to sites if you have them.
My son did much better when we removed processed foods from his diet. Also, the Omega-3 fatty acids helped him as well. His psychologist gave us an article on malnutrition and ADHD/ADD. It says that many people with the symptoms are missing or low in certain minerals important to brain function. You can get muscle tested to see what your body is needing. Neurofeedback also has great results that tend to be permanent, but is rather pricey.Good luck, I hope you can find something that works for you and doesn't involve medication.

My 14 year old has been on several different ADD meds, none of which have been good for him,he gets side effects from all of them .I have decided to try natural methods instead. He has taken fish oil with some good results, but I was wondering if anyone here has tried other vitamins,or a high protein diet for their child's ADD.Thanks for the info.GOD-bless
Decreasing his intake of sugar may help.
When my 21 yr old son went through this,
as a child, it took a lot of prayer and hope.
Wish I could offer more.
Consistency in his life will help.
I will pray he gets better.
In the meantime, here are a few places to click on.
I cannot say whether these sights are worthy or not.
But thought I'd add a little more research for you.
GOD BLESS.

This was a "scholar" look-up:
"Mounting controversy over the widespread use of methylphenidate and possible life-threatening effects from its long-term use make it imperative that alternative modalities be implemented for ADHD management. Nutrient deficiencies are common in ADHD; supplementation with minerals, the B vitamins (added in singly), omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids, flavonoids, and the essential phospholipid phosphatidylserine (PS) can ameliorate ADHD symptoms. When individually managed with supplementation, dietary modification, detoxification, correction of intestinal dysbiosis, and other features of a wholistic/integrative program of management, the ADHD subject can lead a normal and productive life."

My son does have ADD - NOT ADHD - He is very mellow but VERY distracted and inattentive at times which is affecting his grades. We've tried Adderral (which was too strong), Daytranna & Strattera did nothing. Any similar situations and results? This has been an ongoing since the 3rd grade - he's now in 6th grade.
We found that it was actually a food allergy and controlled - I mean CONTROLLED - his food intakes (sugar, etc.).

What Causes Leg Cramps – How to Prevent Leg Cramps - Remedies for ...
If the cramps are pregnancy related then I recommend that you speak with a doctor as I do not advice you to take any medications at this stage in your life. You may massage your legs before you go to bed at night. Form a night time routine that will help you to have undisturbed sleep. Soak your feet in a tub or warm water followed by a nice warm bath.
When you are done with your bath massage your feet with some lavender infused oil and then jump right into bed. This routine will ensure that you sleep well and prevent the cramps from making a nuisance of them as well.
You must also speak with your doctor to check if it is alright for you to have vitamin E supplements. You could also try exercising for 20 to 30 minutes at night before you go to bed. A walk in the park or around the neighborhood after dinner is a good way to keep yourself healthy and your legs free of aches and pains all through the night.
