Have any of you that suffer from migraines tried some natural remedies? I get migraines constantly, I don't remember a full 7 days in the past few months, that I didn't have a migraine. My docs have already ruled out a lot of stuff, and it's just migraines.
I'm tired of trying diffrent meds, so I was wonderng what other ppl do to cure their migraines, that doesn't include medication. And, something that is relatively inexpensive.
I'd like to hear from ppl that actually suffer from migraines.
Thanks!
I personally don't suffer from migraines, but these three techniques usually relieve my headaches pretty quickly, and 2 of my friends who are migraineurs find these methods useful too.
1) a gradual cold shower at around 20 degrees Celsius.
2) Cold face immersion:
Pour a vat of cold water that is around 12 degrees Celsius. This is between very cold and painfully cold water. Take a deep breath and submerge your face and half of the head (hold the head horizontally) in water. Turn your head slightly from side to side to improve cooling. Remove your face from the cold water after 10-15 seconds or sooner if cold water starts to cause pain in the facial skin.
Wait 30 to 120 seconds. Repeat the procedure 5 to 7 more times. You can do it all day if necessary but 7-8 immersions will usually reduce headache substantially and you will be pain-free for the next 1 to 2 hours. If the headache comes back after 1-2 hours, repeat the session.
3) Complete colon cleansing. Bacteria living in intestines may release some vasodilatory agents and if these are constantly absorbed into the bloodstream, they may cause chronic unending headaches (this is related to the ancient autointoxication theory). A recent poll of people who use colon hydrotherapy on a regular basis revealed that many of them use it to relieve headaches (see one of the references below).

As a long term sufferer of migraines and having tried all manner of tablets i wanted to know if anyone had a natural remedy that had worked for them.
has anyone tried Feverfew?
Feverfew worked well for my father when he had attacks but for a permanent relief of your problem with migraines - try Homoeopathy. Experienced practitioners are used to dealing with this problem and can offer a cure. No drugs with potentially nasty side effects on offer - just a gentle, permanent cure. I've had many, many patients who have suffered decades of migraines cured after a short spell of treatment - the vast majority remaining migraine free many years later. Go to http://www.homeopathy-soh.org/ to find a practitioner local to you. Once they find the remedy for YOU with your migraines (as opposed to treating the migraines in isolation as conventional medicine does), you won't look back.

My younger sister gets intolerable migraines yet refuses for some reason to take prescription drugs to alleviate them.
Magnesium helps in some cases.

A lot of adults are often plagued by an ailment involving pain in the head. Indeed, physicians and investigators now know that kids and teenagers also experience pain in the head.
In the past, it was believed that only adults experienced pain in the head, and migraines, especially, were not a childhood ailment. Physicians have recently learned that children of all ages can and do experience migraines, and even babies can get them more often than originally thought. Physicians once believed children were making headaches up, but now they know that they are genuine and can be rather severe.
The treatment of migraines in children is often controversial. Many parents struggle with the issue of treating their child. One part of them wants to help their child get relief by controlling the symptoms. The other part is concerned with the idea of their young child ingesting strong medications so early in life.
