I had recently switched her food with bad results. Now her skin is dry and flaky. I have taken her off the new food, but am looking for natural home remedies that I can use to improve her coat condition.

Having dry flaky skin when changing foods can be normal, especially when going from a lower quality to a higher quality food. Your dog's body is "detoxifying" which could cause the coat/skin changes until the dog's body becomes acclimated to the new food. You should give the new food a few weeks before writing it off. Also, don't switch cold turkey. Always mix more old food with new, and then slowly less old food and more new food until you are feeding only the new food. That will help with the transition and also alleviate diarrhea problems.

You can give your dog a boiled egg, or purchase the supplement for skin and coat that you can pump on to the dogs food to help with the dryness and flaking.

Does anybody know any natural home remedies to help acne? I'm 22 well out of puberty and i still break out pretty bad.

I suffer from chronic UTI's almost monthly, and will all the meds im on to prevent them (ditropan XL, detrol LA, and Bactrim) along with drinking plenty of water, not drinking soda or teas and taking cranberry supplements. What are some other natural or home remedies to try to help me out? Also has anyone ever tried clear tract or tried d-mannose? Thanks!

I have heard good reports about d-mannose. I know one medical doctor who has juvenile diabetes & it helps w/ protein in urine for him & has (he believes) extended his life.

Here are some herbs known to be urinary antiseptics: Angelica root, Bearberry (Uva Ursi), Celery seed, Goldenrod, Juniper, Meadowsweet (also soothing & pain relieving), Saw Palmetto, Yarrow. Try making any one of these into a tea and drinking one or more cups per day. I would lean toward Angelica root, which is a digestive, or Meadowsweet, which contains salycin (like aspirin). Saw Palmetto, Juniper & Bearberry are all somewhat harsh and only for short term use.

Years ago when I was taking birth control pills I also had frequent UTIs. Got some relief by a surgeon enlarging the opening of my bladder. The problem didn't completely stop until I stopped taking the pill.

Okay I have big pores and I really want to size them down so they will be unnoticable, because it really makes my skin look dirty. I also have very blotchy red looking skin. Does anyone know of any natural remedies to get rid of this stuff? Thanks!!
