Holistic Natural Remedies

I've been having ovarian cyst trouble for the last couple of months. I was in the hospital yesterday for extreme pain. They said the cyst is causing my pain (it is 4 cm), and fluid which is realeased from the cyst during ovulation is moving about my abdomen and causing pain.

Are there any holistic or natural remedies to pain/cysts?

She is on a healthy diet of a food high in whatever the fats are called (18% I believe), she has never had a dandruff problem before (she's 2) but we moved recently and this is her first spring in northern California. I believe that she is having itchy, dry skin due to allergies because she is constantly rolling on the carpet and trying to scratch her back (where the majority of the dandruff is) on tables and other things. Is there a natural remedy to soother her skin?

Something I do for our cats when it gets really dry in the winter is take a small drop or two of oil, depending on how much fur the cat in question has, and rub it over my palms really thoroughly and then pet the cat. Be sure to spread the oil out as thinly as possible. If you overdue it, your cat may lick itself into having a hairball. So only the minimum amount you think will do it. You can always do more later if need be. I usually use olive oil or canola since they are fairly neutral.

It cuts down on the static and helps hydrate their skin. You might try it while your cat has active dandruff, olive oil is very hydrating and helps heal. And it would be a good upkeep just whenever you think she is getting dry again.

As for the cure, giving her a small amount of an oily fish every other day or so will help. Whatever you do, don't give her a bath unless it's a vet recommended shampoo for cats with irritable skin. And if you do brush her, use a very soft brush that only goes through the top layer of fur and won't reach her irritated skin.

My baby has a collapsing trachea and I was just wondering if anyone had any holistic or wellness suggestions to help ease the coughing and help it heal. She's on omega's, probiotics, natures choice and evo food, a multi, chondroitin and glucosomine---just curious if anyone else has had luck with easing the symptoms. From what I have read there is no holistic remedy for this condition, it is usually treated with weight loss, management of any concurrent lung disease, and possibly anti-inflammatory, cough suppressant and bronchial medication.
Despite medication some dogs progress to become surgical candidates.

I am sure that you already have consulted a vet but in case you haven't I would advise that you do.

Hero can urinate copiously but he also "tries" very frequently in between really urinating and may emit a few drops; he is active, appears healthy and not in pain.What ingredient could I feed him to naturally alleviate any crystals that may have formed. (Avoid surgery)

Yes, he's showing a few signs, which means it's bnot in beginning phases.
No surgery is used, the vet gives him antibiotics, which is the best thing you can do.

Holistic treatmjents, as they even state on any of the websites, are just a BACKUP to be used with medication, ie antibiotics. There is no holistic ":cure". The holistic side takes care of any "side-effects" from the antibiotics, and together, they cure kitty in no time flat, without prolonging his siffering.

PS DIscuss his fiture diet as a preventative with the vet while you are therer, and how diet can avoid this in future.
