I have not had a bowel movement in about 4 days and think it is time to clean out my system.
Be absolutely sure you are drinking plenty of water. Many constipation cases are caused by dry stools due to lack of fluids, and water is the best. You need to avoid this problem in the future so be sure to eat plenty of salads, fruits, and veggies. Prunes are a very good natural laxative (or the juice) and have lots of good vitamins. Keep yourself regular with daily Metamucil or some kind of fiber. Often it comes flavored or now in chewables; just be sure to drink lots of water with it so it does not turn into "cement" in your intestines. Actually, these are remedies to avoid the 4-day situation in the first place, so why not check with your friendly pharmacist or even a health food store for immediate help. If you don't get any results soon, you had better call your doc to avoid a serious complication.
It seems my son might have a bit of diarrhea (only one this morning, but it was all liquid). Any natural remedies that you know off? I've heard things that are high in starch (pasta and potatos) will slow it down, but don't know of anything else. Thanks!

#1: Take homeopathic Arsenicum if you feel you have eaten spoiled food. This will help control the discharge without interfere with the elimination of toxins.
#2: If you feel weak and have a burning pain in mid-section take cuprum arsenicosum .
Take 4 charcoal tablets every hour this will absorb the toxins from the body.
#3: Drink blackberry tea for mild diarrhea.
#4: Take cayenne in capsules.
#5: Ginger tea can stop cramps and pain. Or take Ginger in capsules.
#6: Drink plenty of fluids, but stay away from caffeine and alcohol. Drinks like ginger ale or carrot juice is good for making the stools less watery.
