Signs Of Colon Cancer

What are some of the signs you have colon cancer?

What are some of the signs when you first get colon cancer and if you wait a couple years and find out you have colon cancer what are the different signs?

Colon cancer is a silent disease. I was diagnosed with advanced stage IV colon cancer at the age of 40 in Jan 2006. My only long term symptom was constipation (20 + years) . A couple of months prior to diagnosis I had bloating and cramping. My GP, and GI specialist were not concerned about cc, only motility issues. Well, the colonoscopy showed different.

what are early signs of colon cancer?

I am 44 female, had a cat scan on abdomen earlier this year for something else, doc said he noticed a spot on the colon, didn't know if it was related to the sickness i had at the time. am afraid to go back and find out. are there any early signs or symptoms? plus i don't have insurance right now.

unfortunately, the early signs can only be caught by a doctor, it's called a hemocult test, and it's done on a stool specimen, by the time symptoms show that a person can spot... it's too late.

Colon Cancer signs... DOCTORS or MEDICAL advisors ONLY?

I have beeni getting these sharp pains in my stomach, and when these pains come its hurts to sit down, Im not sure why, it doesnt happen often and it could just be anything, but is that something I should get checked out. Im scared there might me something wrong becuase its such a sharp pain. Please only answer if you know something about Colon or rectual cancer. It doesnt hurt going, and the other warning signs liek blood or pencil thin feces isnt happening either, but this pain is. It has happened twice this week and maybe a few times this year. What do you think it could be ? I dont want to get worried over nothing but I am kinda getting scared if could be something

It's impossible to say from your description if you have colon cancer, the only way to know is to get checked out at the doctor. There are many things that can cause stomach pain from ulcers, to acid reflux, gallstones, pancreatitis, appendicitis - not just cancer. But no one can tell you for sure except your doctor so please go!

Does anybody know if green stool could be a sign of colon cancer?

Today when I went to the bathroom, my stool was greenish. It almost looked like it had green moss growing on it. Does anybody know if this is a sign of colon cancer? I've had other colon cancer symptoms as well lately and I have a doctors appointment scheduled for July 6th.

I've never heard of green stool being a symptom of colon cancer, but I am just curious.

You wouldn't have happened to maybe eat some green veggies in the last few days? No, it's not a sign of cancer. What would your other symptoms happen to be?

What are the signs to look for colon cancer?

Or could it be hemmoroids?

My mom just had a colonoscopy and a polyp was found. She has always had somewhat irritable bowels and hemoroids but she says she really didn't have any symptoms other than the existing ones. When you have a colonoscopy ask the doctor to look for flat lesions as well as polyps.Flat lesions are harder to detect but are believed to be a large cause of colon cancer.

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to treat menopausal estrogen deficiency has been in widespread use for over 60 years. Several observational studies over the years showed that HRT use by younger postmenopausal women was associated with a significant reduction in total mortality; available evidence supported the routine use of HRT to increase longevity in postmenopausal women. However, the 2002 publication of a major study, the Women's Health Initiative (WHI), indicated increased risk for certain outcomes in older women, without increasing mortality. This sparked debate regarding potential benefits or harm of HRT. In an article published in the November 2009 issue of Bayesian analysis uses prior...
