I had discovered that my body found a 2.5 x 1.5cm tumor lies at the junction of the mesenteric and antemesenteric surfaces. It lies 2.8cm on one end and 4.8cm on the other end. The main cause of this tumor is according to what I eat daily in the past. I can't keep my old recipes anymore. What are some healthy food that I can eat daily now? The doctor said I should eat only vegetables without seasonings. Can anyone suggest me some information?
I am at the stage between level B and C. This was found 1 month ago. I live currently in Vancouver. I had already did a surgery on it.
Here is some helpful info on cancer and living longer.

After successful surgery followed by chemotherapy
To start I would like to tell you that you aren't alone, the type of cancer that is affecting you is one of the most common types. Fortunately, you caught the cancer at an early stage so your overall prognosis is actually quite good. Without having seen any of your test results I cannot really comment further. My best advice to you is to always keep a positive attitude. Wake up each day with a smile, and face it as though it was going to be the best day of your life. Take from this statement what you will, but my father once told me that "no one ever climbed any mountain without knowing they would reach the top." Be sure to drink plenty of water with your chemo.
I wish you the best for a long life.
Feb 2007, my mom was diagnosed w adenocarcinoma stage 3. she had her sigmoid resection and for past months been undergoing chemotherapy. she's now on her 9th of 12 sessions. d med she's taking is eloxatin (oxyplatin). so far so good. she's weak right after each session but regain her strength after a week. Do u think she will survive cancer?
Your mother does have a very good chance of survival. While stage III adenocarcinoma is serious it is probably (emphasis on probably) still confined to her colon. With God's help I pray the surgeon removed all affected areas of the colon. If so, with chemo therapy to fight any remaining malignant cell growth she has a better than good chance of beating it. I wish you and your mother God's blessings.
Please note that any diagnosis or prognosis given without proper records, as well as all biopsy, radiology, lab and other diagnostic test results is suspect. I will of course keep the both of you in my prayers. Remember, whether or not you believe in God the power of faith and strength of human will can have a dramatic effect on anyone's health.

She is 79 yrs old. After surgery they did not remove the large mass on her sigmoid colon because it was to vascular to remove and she would more than likely bleed to death if they tried. It will be one week since her surgery and she is still very very weak, gets out of breath with us daughters helping her to bathroom. Even when they gave her a portable pottychair to use she gets severely cold and clammy, extramely nausous, shivers, very rapid heartbeat, and has a hard time taking a breath. When she tries to speak to us during these attacks of her sitting up moving around, she is so winded and it takes so much just to finish a single sentence. Mom is very anemic and her heme count dropped to a 7.2 she will not accept any blood transfusuions due to her beliefs religious wise and the past few days docs given her iron pills and that has raised her count to a 9.4 but its still low.... Her tummy is still so very bloated and her urin output is not that much even though they are pumping her with several IV fluid bags. Could it be the cancer is just wiping her out she is not on any chemo yet. We are trying to figure out WHY she is so winded, weak and slightly feverish at times ... clammy, chills... Could it be her heart they have not noticed yet?.. OR is this a common reaction after this type of surgery? We are aware that the Doctors told us without the surgery, she probly wouldnt have lived more than 2 weeks. But since she had the surgery, it may extend her time who knows.. is this symptoms of the end her weakness?? They placed her on a clear diet but she does not eat any of that.. no broth jello or anything but a sip of water or two thats it. she has been without food for 14 days now... but what can we do or possibly suggest to the doctors do to help her in this situation? Cancer has masestize to her liver and lungs i forgot to mention above. Anyone who has had a loved one with the same symptoms that she is going through please let me know how I can help her, what can we do, and how much longer did they live after going through these symptoms after surgery? I want to keep her as long as possible but I need to make her as comfy as possible. I wonder why her tummy is swelling up again??? Anybody with ideas or experience I apreciate your help. God Bless
Have you or your sisters talked to her oncologist? I can’t imagine they would consider chemo. These are not postsurgical symptoms. Your mother is winded due to ascites (fluid build up) and this is the reason her abdomen is distended. They can remove some of the fluid to provide her some relief, but it will come back. Your mother is reaching the end of her life. The best thing you can do is to talk to her oncologist and have her referred to hospice. She doesn’t have to leave her home, they will come to her. They specialize in end of life issues and concentrate on making the patient as comfortable as possible. They are truly wonderful people and will work with the entire family. I have included some links below to help you understand what they do. May God bless your mom and your family.

yesterday mornig i went to the er with pain in my lower left side,i assumed it was ovary pain an ultrasound was done and they found 2 fibroids in my uterus, however the er dr. said that fibroids would not cause my pain so he ordered a catscan w/dye and the results came back that i had scattered polyps in my sigmoid&descending colon is this a sign of colon cancer?I have an apt with my regular DR.tomorrow i'm just wandering now since cancer does run in my immediate family.since i don't just have 1 polyp and have scattered ones in to different parts of my colon does this increase my chance of cancer?i'm also only 35 has any one that young ever had colon cancer or polyps?i've also been getting diarrea alot the past 2 months does that have anything to do with it.thank you serious answers only please.
I've had a colon polyp at age 32, and they are the leading cause of colon cancer if not removed. I had 2 checkups since they found that polyp and thankfully they didn't find any more. I've always had bad problems with my digestive system. I guess it's from having irritable bowel syndrome and never forgoing chocolate or milk products. It's something i can deal with. I am not sure if IBS will cause polyps, or how they form. I just know they don't hurt. They did cause some impaction, but not that bad. That's how i knew i had the one i did.
They wil remove your polyps by putting you under sedation, and snipping them. Then you'll do what i do, go in for an exam two or three times to make sure no more have grown. Your condition is not that serious, providing that you get rid of them. Of course they will take them to the lab after they snip them, to make sure none are cancerous. Sometimes they will be called "pre-cancerous". I'm not really sure what that means, but i guess it means that they could turn into cancer if not taken out. All colon polyps can, so that's kind of a redundant thing for the medical profession to say.
Be thankful that your doctor found them early! Godspeed!!!
