Puerto Colon Tenerife

If so were they nice and how far is it to the beach/main shopping arcade? Are they on a hill? Do you have to cross the main road to get to it or is it on the same side as the beach? Iv read its quite noisy at night in a particular block

The apartments were very spacious, well decorated and spotlessly clean. Sunset bay itself is also very clean and tidy with all amenities close to hand.

Suset bay is a complex made up of large spacious studios and apartments with views right out to sea and towards La Gomera. The best views are from block "H" which is right at the top but might be a problem for people with walking difficulties.
It is in a hilly area, But the area itself is nice and clean. There are 2 pools with cafes on site. There are lifeguards at the pools. There is plenty of sunbeds with green cushions. The pool and toilets are very clean. The pools are a little cold, the bottom one especially, but the area is lovely.

Luckily our 2 x bedroomed apt was near the bottom of the hill as it is a bit of a climb to the reception The rooms are very spacious and well fitted and are all gradually being fitted with air conditioning

Despite being so close to Las Americas, it is a fairly quiet resort at night; good if you have young children and the daytime entertainment keeps kids and adults amused.
Not sure about the block which is noisier than others, we didn't hear anyone complaining but we didn't go in high season- sorry.

The beach is very close bit is across the road. I do think that some parts are getting a little tired, although I've heard they are trying to remedy this.

This year we're trying Hollywood Mirage in Los Cristianos- also a timeshare property, but Sunset Bay is well worth a go.
