wow. Looks like you had allot of thought to this. My thoughts to this. People have been drinking milk for positively centuries and millenia. If you like it, drink it. If you don't, don't.
a challenging recovery from colon cancer surgery. He died at Bryn Mawr Hospital, where he had been hospitalized since August. He underwent colon ...
This is not mine - but funny nonetheless!!
...every once in a while, particularly after eating something containing
minced onions, I will pass gas with an odor very much like burning
rubber bands. I think that would be my favorite. There was one time
when my significant other was abed, in an unbreakable slumber. The
snoring was punctuated by the wet popping sounds of gas letting itself
out of a sleep-paralyzed and flaccid colon. Though I too was soundly
asleep, it was this rubbery conflagration odor that woke me up. It was
so strong, I had to leave the room for a few minutes for the vapors to
subside.
I was trying not to wake the emitter with my laughter at having been
awakened from a sound sleep by the strength of a sharp smell alone.

PS, I managed to tell that whole story without saying FART.
A very good friend of mine, his wife,me, and my girlfriend were out and about going through the mall - My friend and I had been Trying too "out fart" each other all day. He took a deep breath and pushed - Well needless to say it was not the wind rattling the back door...........It was the rain!!!!
The best part of strategy in the game of fart is knowing the wind from the rain!!!!
a fam. member just had laparoscopic colon surgery..now his intestines are paralyzed..how do we wake them and how long wil it take..hes still in hospital..
serious answers only please
thanks!!!!
it can take awhile..it took mine about three or four days for any activity...but mine wasn't laproscopic...so it may be less
recently..i had to put my dog sammy down because she had a stroke & was paralyzed.
the quality of her life was good, & she passed at an old age of 12. (84 human yrs)
i love and miss her terribly, but i feel better to know she isnt suffering anymore..
recently i was assigned to do a topic for my PIG class and i chose euthanasia. )
im very interested in peoples opinions on this controversial topic.
putting religion aside (i KNOW what it says in the bible...you do not need to tell me that god says its wrong)
im interested in YOUR opinion...
me personally have had to deal with my father passing of a brain tumor that lasted a year, & my BFFs dad passing after 2 years of lung/colon cancer & he said if he could have been euthanized he wanted to, b/c he said he didnt want his family to watch him suffer.
im interested in what you think, with or against my opinion..and with answers please support why you feel that way and if u do believe in euthanasia under what circumstances?
thanks!
ps--does anyone think that people who are only sick should have euthanasia?
This is one of those topics that people argue about all the time.I happen to feel that euthanasia is a fine thing.Especially for an old or mortally wounded animal that is suffering
As for humans..yes by all means.Quality of life is the key to this.Chronic pain..no hope of cure..constant suffering with no way to resolve the problem..why should a person have to live through all that just because someone else is too selfish to let them go?It is important for people to make living wwills as soon as possible so that if something happens and you cant speak for yourself then at least you will have a legal document to help you out.I know millions will disagree with me but there is another million that will agree. This is a personal belief..there is no right or wrong..just what YOU think best for yourself.
My dad died Jan 10, at age 63...and I am having an extremely difficult time dealing with it.
He was on a ladder at work (electrician) and he was about 12 ft in the air fixing a sign, he got electrocuted and fell off the ladder on to the cement.
In the hospital for 2 days. The doctor said he was paralyzed, then over night became brain dead, had massive bleeding in his brain, had broken ribs, his lungs where smashed, his colon was removed, and then eventually they had to keep removing all his organs...and on saturday morning we found out he had died.
If you knew my dad you would know that he was the hardest working man in the universe. He would work 12 hour strenious days as an electrician, then he would eat dinner, and if someone called him at 8p.m. he would change out of his pajamas and go to work, even if it was an hour drive.
I have never met anyone in my life so dedicated to helping others, and working so hard even at age 63 (which a bad hip and bad back)...and he had to die in such a tragic way.
Why did my dad had to leave this way? He was always so happy and positive about life, never complained...why??
(please no religious answers, I do not believe in god or heaven)
I'm so sorry for your loss.
No one is going to be able to answer this question for you, because there is no good reason for this to happen. It's a very tragic, unfortunate accident.
You would never have been ready to lose your dad, not now, not in 40 years. I don't have any words that will comfort you, and all I can say is, I'm sorry.
I will say that you, and other members of your family, should speak to someone professionally. They aren't going to make you feel better, exactly, but they will help you learn better ways of coming to terms with something senseless like this.
I'm a Christian, but I'm not going to spout religious stuff at you - I don't think God meddles in daily stuff, even life and death, like this. Didn't cause it, didn't stop it. This falls under the s&#% happens heading.
Take care, best wishes.
How long does it take to recuperate from colon cancer surgery ...
My Mom survived Colon Cancer 2 years ago…it took her about 4 or 5 mos to get any spring in her step. She is now experiencing some bowel problems but will not have any thing confirmed…she says whatever will be will be……She today, at 81-1/2 looks fine, got back all her weight and her demeanor improved….but we will see P.S….She refused all treatment after her surgery
it all depends. Generally it is about six weeks. However, if you have a colostomy that is going to be reveresed it can take twice as long as the new incision heals and then is cut again to reconnect. Alos, if people have had multiple abdominla incisions they can develop what is called scar...
