Oxy Colon

I want to try the acai berry/colon cleanse routine in order to lose weight, but I am still nursing. I've picked the organic option for acai berry supplement, but I am not sure if it would be safe to use the oxy-powder colon cleanse as well? I would appreciate you sharing some knowledge on the subject!

Not sure what you mean by oxy-powder, but I know that most colon cleansing pills are not recommended for pregnant or nursing women.

I would recommend staying away from colon cleansing products until you are done nursing.

What kind of colon cleansing pills are you taking? I've been using the Colon Clean system and it works great. I started taking it after I was done nursing, so there were no problems there. The results have been great. You can read my story at the site below.

What are the differences in the *method*, and the *results* of the treatment for an over-the-counter colonic like Bowtrol or Oxy-Powder when compared to a colon hydrotherapy performed by a doctor?

The differences in the method is that Bowtrol and Oxy-Powder is taken internally in the form of a capsule. Oxy-Powder has a slightly more restricted diet, and with Bowtrol you can continue on your normal diet without much change except it is recommended that you drink more water.

With colon hydrotherapy, you lie on an exam table while purified water run very slowly in the colon. The abdominal area is massaged while the water is flowing out into a glass viewing tube. In one session approximately two to six liters flows in and out of the large intestines. Both methods will give you the same results - a cleanse and detox of your intestinal system. However Bowtrol/Oxy-Powder is much less invasive and you can do this in the privacy of your home.

After reading the details on the webpage, it sounds like something I would like to try. It seems a bit more user friendly than the Dr. Natura's product, and it doesn't have the disgusting pictures-(which were not very believable.) I'm curious to hear from people who've tried Oxy-Powder, and what your experience as been. I'm also curious about using a pro-biotic.

Oxy powder works on my washing, but I can't say as I would like to use it in my bowels if I'm totally honest...

If you want to try an enema why don't you look for a local clinic and have a professional do it for you?

No form of internal cleansing appeals to me too much, and if you eat enough fruit and veg and drink plenty of water each day then you really oughtn't to need it, your body will do it for you.

As you all know theres is so many colon body cleansing products out there I don't know which to pick. Then some are just totally overpriced. I want to know from people that have actually used this product, and maybe what some other people would recommend!

I never used this one, but I've used many. I now use Citrucel. It has nothing nasty in it... tastes great... and does what it's supposed to do... flush the colon with psyllium seed that hold so much water, the body treats it as a solid so it passes into the colon and therefore helps flush it out. I dont know of any scientific reports that compare these products. Good luck!

its not a household cleaner, what are you talking about? you should google it.

The colon is an anaerobic environment, meaning it is very low in oxygen. Introducing oxygen into that environment could well cause all kinds of problems, and may even be fatal.

Especially if you use cleaning compounds.

If you want to do a clean-out, eat rolled oats, bran cereal, and other fibrous foods (celery, jerusalem artichokes, corn, fruit, etc.), eat unpasteurized yogourt, and drink a lot of fruit juice.

Colon cleansing, I think, is an idiotic fad and is probably quite pointless. Ask your doctor.
