I really need to jump-start my routine , and I've started eating healthier & trying to find time to exercise( I'm pretty active on a day-to-day basis). I was just wondering if maybe a colon cleanse was the way to go? Just wondering if anyone knew of any that actually works.Thanx!

I don't have the money for the ones in the stores. Is there a way to make a natural one at home...That doesn't taste too bad?

Black coffee, no sugar. Use it as an enema. It may change the way you watch coffee commercials but it does real good at irrigating the colon. Try not eating for 24 hours ahead of time and only eating oatmeal for three days before that and one day after. All the fiber has a cleansing effect of its own.

Batman's answer is plain batshit crazy. It is this kind of warped thinking, an lack of knowledge about anatomy and physiology that is epidemic in the Alt Med community.

1- Why do you think you need to "boost your immune system" and what exactly does that mean? The only proven way to stimulate the immune system is by ingesting a pathogen...or by getting immunized, which tricks the immune system into preparing defenses for a pathogen. The Altie concept of "boosting the immune system" is meaningless nonsense.

2- Actually, you BELIEVE this will help you bigtime. You are not demonstrating any thinking at all.

3-If you are actually full of parasites, you should be seen by an infectious disease specialist or a parasitologist and get a proper diagnosis and treatment. If you believe you have parasites because you have bought into the mantra of some elements of Altmed that all disease is from parasites, then you are suffering from a delusion.

4-Detoxes and colonics are not benign treatments. People have become seriously ill and died after undergoing these unnecessary treatments. Here's a few anecdotes, since I know you New Agers consider anecdotes the highest form of truth.

Listen closely because it's quite tricky. Walk into a bathroom. Pull down your pants and underwear (unless you go commando). Sit on the toilet and push. Once you're finished you will have successfully cleansed your colon, but I prefer to call it taking a sh!t.
