Intestinal Colon Cleanse

ok so i have heard about intestinal cleansing to get rid of built up "junk" in your intestines and that it will make you feel alot better if you do some sort of cleanse. ive been feeling quite tired and sluggish alot and was wondering if doing a cleanse would help although im not just interested in it because of that. has anyone tried colon cleansing things that have worked? are they bad for you? will they actually help? was are some that you dont have to like do like a month long just a few days if possible? what are some cleansers that are relatviely cheap? and is taking more fiber pretty much the same thing? im trying to figure out a good one to maybe try. but dont want to waste my time or money. also will it help me to lose a few pounds ( no this is my main objection so please no exercise lectures haha i just thot the possible loss of a few pounds would be a bonus haha) i hope that this question makes sense and any advice would be appreciated!! thank you!

I don't like the colon cleanse products as they have allot of harsh chemicals. You can look in the yellow pages under Colonic Irrigation, they can be a bit pricey, around $75 each, or you can get similar results by taking a series of enemas at home in different positions.

I have had this exact pain before. I used to get kidney and urinary tract infections years ago but havent had that in a decade. When a pain in the same place returned, and there was no stinging urination a nurse friend guessed, due to what they call 'rabbit pellet' poop, that it's a kink in the bend of my large (upper). To treat my pain I ate oatmeal for days and finally, brownie mix with lots of oil. I don't know if that's what fixed it, but the pain did subside. I am thinking of doing a 1 -2 month Colonix treatment, as maybe something kinky is in my upper colon. But... colonics is great ONLY IF DONE BY AN EXPERIENCED PROPERLY LICENSED PERSON. your bowel could be cut and then you;ll have a GI bleed (which is really bad and really smelly and all the people in the ER will know what's wrong with you b/c you'll stink up the whole hall you're on) Not to mention if it's cut through in a tiny spot and then feces gets into your body.

Try a juice fast to let your colon rest first.

I recently purchased a colon/intestinal cleansing supplement that got great reviews online. I know that you're supposed to avoid processed food and sugars while cleansing, but I've also recently read that you're supposed to avoid wheat and dairy foods as well. Is this true? Is it a must, or a word of caution? I just want to make sure that I do it right if I'm going to do it.

The supplement did not come with information on what to eat while taking it.

Yes, I just did a cleanse. Avoid wheat, dairy, all meat except fish. It won't hurt you if you eat any of these things but avoiding them makes the cleanse more effective. Also, eat lighter while doing it, lots of fresh food (fruits and veggies). Not big servings. And drink lots of water.

Actually, I just went there and its not very helpful but I have the instructions from my cleanse. Here's what it says:

Diet suggestions:
Fresh fruit and veggies
Fish
chicken and turkey
eggs
well cooked grain-millet, buckwheat, amaranth, quiona, spelt
Pasta made from any of the above grains
butter
raw almonds and seeds, raw almond butter
drink 8-10 glasses of water a day

I keep hearing that the colon stores 'plaque' and old fecal matter, toxins etc. on the intestinal walls that can stay there for years. Is it true? Is it a good idea to do a colon cleanse, water or juice fast or enema to clean it out? Please be descriptive and don't just say yes or no. Thanks for your help!

It is really not a pleasant thing at first, but highly addictive!!! You’ll feel really great, especially after the 3rd one (it goes in series, most of the time) It feels like you can fly and you can loose anything from 2 kg straight (imagine how much we have $%^^& inside) !!! if you have a good specialist you wont experience any discomfort but do make sure you follow the instruction for the preparation for your fist session, its really important. It might sound strange but even breathing will be so easy, its amazing what it can do for your body.

And, yes all that #$%#$%^ accumulates over the years in your colon blocking it and making your physiological functioning difficult, slowly poisoning you. The best option is to do it regularly every 3 to 6 months, for “cleaner” results..

If you wish to do it yourself, start by adding a little of lemon juice to about 2 Lts of lukewarm-hot water, be careful, it may cause you to feel nauseous and painful but its all part of initiation. Do not expect all the 2Lt to work into your system on the first time, but be persistent… best idea, rather seek a specialist and follow the doctor’s instruction, this will give you better results and less discomfort.
