my daddy has a colon tumor..questions help!!?

so yesterday a doctor found a 5 cm colon tumor in my dad but hasnt diagnosed it as cancer yet (my parents are meeting with him on tuesday)....i've got a couple of questions
1) if the tumor isnt like..cancer..then what else could it possibly be?
2) is 5 cm big for a tumor?
3) words of advice? i'm freaking out! i'm only 15 and i spend 6 hrs a day on homework and now i'm going to have to look over my dad cuz its going to be so hard on him!! this is so frustrating =[[.....o n is sleeping A LOT a symptom of this cancer cuz my dad is..always sleeping..btw hes around mid-50s and kind of overweight

Just because there is a tumor does not mean it is cancerous. Labratory tests will reveal that. Also colon cancer is easy to treat when it is found early. It is obvious that it has been found early because of the small size. I have had polyps found in my colon ( itty bitty tumors ) and none of them have been cancerous. Good Luck to you and your family.

colon cancer symptoms?

im 35 and the last couple of months have had the sensation that i need to do #2 alot but when i do my stools are thinner than normal is this a tumor in my colon?
Have the feeling of being full alot to like when i go i havent done it all?

am going to the doctors this week.
i dont have excess gas,
i dont have stomach cramps
I dont have excess const/diarrhea.
I dont have mucus in my stools or blood.
there just thinner like something is obstructing my bowel, IBS doesnt fit my criteria.

It could be a colorectal cancer, but I would not get too worried just yet. There are many other things that can cause these symptoms including the much more common irritable bowel syndrome ("IBS"). In a 35 year old, the chances strongly favor a benign rather than a malignant disease causing these symptoms. Best of luck.

How long for a rectal tumor to get to Stage 4? Last whole yr. dad went to doc w/ multiple symptoms; no exam !!

My dad has been seeing his regular doc for past year for persistant diahreah; doc never even did rectal exam; sent to my doc FINALLY who did rectal exam, ordered stool + bloodwork on 1st visit!!! Recently dad diagnosed w/Stage 4 rectal cancer! I am super curious if anyone can give even a rough ESTIMATE of how long it would take for the tumor to grow SO LARGE, into other organs, lymph nodes + low back and colon invasion. Surely his own doc should have ordered at least some tests. dad also presented with radical weight loss also; I am super concerned that by time we get to his oncologist on 09/18 little can be done; stint put in; doc said barely able to put in as tumor had opening size of a pinhole!! My dad has little pain but did present to his own doc over a year ago multiple symptoms that point directly to possibility of cancer! How long b4 it moves to other organs, lymphs, bones..just a rough estimate please. AM DEVISTATED TO SAY THE LEAST !! MANY THANKS FOR ANY INFO.....

Honey, stage four colo-rectal cancer is begging for a colostomy. Get your Dad to a GastroIntestinal specialist/Gastrointestinal oncologist. My Dad had the same thing and had a colostomy - not easy, but he lived to age 99, fully alert and active twenty-six years after being diagnosed. We were preparing for the end and he got twenty-six years with his wife, daughter (me) and got to see his granddaughter born, graduate from college and go to med school. There is no excuse for his physician not to have sent your Dad to a Gastro specialist if he wasn't equipped to handle or diagnose the symptoms. It probably wouldn't do much good, but I would talk to a Medical Malpractice attorney after getting your Dad to the right specialist. Good luck - I hope you and your Dad have the same great luck we did!

How much do Colon Cancer Tumors Bleed?

I was wundering if you had a Tumor in your colon or rectum how much would it bleed. Would it just bleed a couple days and then stop and start again in a week/month or so or would it just keep bleeding small amounts every day. Just curious. I was bleeding when i went to the bathroom (not an awfull large amount) 3 times in 2 days. Then i changed my diet and starting eating alot more Fiber and the bleeding stoped completly. This happened one other time about a Year ago. Im pritty sure its not cancer though because I dont have any other symptoms, im only 18 and in general have very hard stool (ouch). I figure its just a Hemroid that i accidentally cut. Felt a sharp pain passing stool first time i had blood. So again how much would a Colon tumor bleed and how often?

They do not al behave the same so there is no way to answer this. Sometimes they’re bleeding and the patient doesn’t even know it.

colon cancer?

I went to the ER because of massive bleeding in my stool-then I went to a specialist and he said I had a large tumor in my intestines.

My symptoms have been: blood in stool, abdominal cramps, weight loss, nausea, very weak and tired

I have to have a colonoscopy next week but I was always under the assumption that only older people can get colon cancer

I am very nervous...could I have colon cancer?

Hi Amandy

The Colon can be healed natually (even cancer in my opinion because Ive seen it done). No need to worry. Here are some ideas to help. Do a colon cleanse (plenty to choose from) and here are some odd but very effective remedies.

High Enemas: - a regular enema washes out fecal matter from the area near the rectum, a high enema cleans out most of the colon.

How to do a High Enema - Normally just distilled water is used. If you know your bowel to be irritated or spastic, a little catnip or lobelia can be added to the water to calm the bowel.

Lie back and have another person introduce the water solution. The water should be between room temperature and body temperature. The first time or two put the water in slowly. After a while a point will be reached where you feel like you can't take any more without losing control. Stop here and try to hold it for at least 5 minutes, better yet 10 or 15 minutes. If unable to hold a "fill-up" for up to 15 minutes, evacuate when needed and try again after relaxing for a time. Keep trying the same day or in successive days and you will come to a time when you can take in a full load of water and hold it while on your back for 15 minutes or more with relative ease.

Now you can go one step further and roll over on your right side a few minutes after "filling up" and have the left side of your abdomen just below your ribcage massaged in an upward fashion.

This massaging motion is an effort to get the enema higher by moving it into the transverse (going across) colon to the ascending colon on the right side of the abdomen. As you work on this and succeed, you will notice that the capacity for water intake will increase and, of course, how much later comes out.

This enema procedure becomes easier and more beneficial to your feeling of well-being as you progress along with the raw foods, juicing and cleanse programs at the same time.

After each enema for the day, finish with a retaining implant. This can consist of 8 ounces of Aloe Vera gel (best from fresh leaf rather than store-bought) and 8 ounces of distilled water. Another implant recipe would consist of 2 ounces of wheat grass juice and 14 ounces of water. You should also use your own judgment here: for instance, if there are tumors in the body, especially in the colon, 16 ounces of a mild chaparral tea is indicated, or red clover; for the heart, Hawthorne berry tea; for the liver, milk thistle tea; Echinacea root tea for general immune enhancement, etc.

Hot Castor Oil Packs: These are the all-time champ for inducing detoxification by a topical application. Many of the natural healing masters relied on the use of castor oil.

How to use: For use on the torso area, soak a piece of flannel that is folded over one time about 12 inches square. Put the caster oil soaked material on and cover with plastic. More than one spot can be applied at the same time. Put on a terry cloth robe and wrap tightly around the body. Take a heating pad and place on terry cloth area over the castor oil pack. TURN THE HEATING PAD ON TO ITS HIGHEST SETTING AND LEAVE ON ALL NIGHT. When the packs become stained with the colors of toxins being removed, change them for new packs. Be sure to cover your mattress, and other bedding that you don't wish to become stained, you can use large garbage bag plastic for this.

Wool flannel seems to be the only material that works with castor oil packs.

Castor oil can be cleaned off of the skin by using paper towels to absorb most of the excess and then mix baking soda with liquid soap to clean up the rest.

A partial list of conditions that castor oil packs can help remedy consists of:
* all liver dysfunction
* high cholesterol
* lymphatic tumors and disorders
* kidneys
* scaring after surgery
* lung congestion

Best of health to you.

Cheers

Tumor Brain Symptoms: Metastatic Brain Tumors

Brain metastases outnumber primary neoplasms by at least 10 to 1, and they occur in 20% to 40% of cancer patients.[19] Because no national cancer registry documents brain metastases, the exact incidence is unknown, but it has been estimated that 98,000 to 170,000 new cases are diagnosed in the United States each year.[2,11] This number may be increasing because of the capacity of MRI to detect small metastases and because of prolonged survival resulting from improved systemic therapy.[2,19] The most common primary cancers metastasizing to the brain are lung cancer (50%), breast cancer (15%–20%), unknown primary cancer (10%–15%), melanoma (10%), and colon cancer (5%).[19,20] Eighty...
