I have been having some serious problems over the last months and had several test done. The problems i have are pain in left and right upper side/ under ribs, nausea and feeling sick after going to the toilet, burning tongue and white tongue in the back (had this for months). Because of the problems i had many test done and the results came back with a spastic colon (i do not take any medicin for this). I also had HIP B, C, etc test done and 5 months ago and HIV (PCR) test done. All came back negative. I have a active sex live with different people but always use protection. I am very worried that I am HIV positive because of some of the symptons such as my burning tongue and white are on the back of my tone which I am sure does not help my spatic colon. Should I be worried about HIV?
Try abstinence for about 3 months, or if you can't, use a condom EVERY TIME... then go back and get another HIV test. If you follow this and your test comes back negative, you can rest easy that it is not HIV. It takes about 3 months from the time you're infected for the virus to build up to the point of detectability.

Okay, I am 14, I weight 145 (I know that sounds like a lot but just wait), I am 5' 8'' (see? I'm tall.) I want to lose at least 15 lbs the HEALTHY way. I play soccer 3x a week (practice tuesdays, not very good exercise though, pretty laid back), game on wednesdays (good exercise), and all star practices on fridays (good exercise.) I also have all star tournaments but not every weekend. I volunteer at a camp and we walk to a pool & swim everyday (I don't always swim though.) I don't eat horribly but they could be improved. Whats I'm going to try to do is cut our junk (brownies, cookies, chocolate, chips, ect.) I'm also going to either run or cycle saturdays & sundays for 30-60min. I'm also going to add in some strength stuff (crunches, lunges, squats, ect.) after the run/cycle to tone up. If anyone has any more suggestions for me, that would really help! But please, I don't want people telling me to use acai berry, colon cleanse, starvation diet, or any diets for that matter because I'm doing this the healthy way. Thank you! :)
Do cardio for 30 - 45 minutes AT LEAST once a day (two times at most).
You should be eating from 1100-1300 calories per day (a normal person's body burns about 2000 by ITSELF every day, so you are already burning off around 900 calories without exercise).
Burn about 400 calories through exercise. (45 minutes of stairs usually burns 300 to 400).
DO NOT MISS ANY MEALS or this will automatically send your body into starvation mode because you are already consuming less.
You MUST eat every 3 hours to keep your metabolism going fast.
Though do not "graze" (eating a small amount every half an hour or so) because this will slow your metabolism.
Breakfast (the most important because it wakes your metabolism up and gets it working fast) should be the biggest meal of the day at about 350 calories and dinner the smallest at 200 calories. Eat breakfast within an hour of getting up in the morning. Snacks should be between 150 - 200 calories and you should eat between two and three snacks per day.
Breakfast --> Snack --> Lunch --> Snack --> Dinner --> (snack)
*****I recommend doing your cardio first thing in the morning before breakfast. When we wake up in the morning our body is in a catabolic state. Catabolism means 'the breaking down' of body tissue, this is the optimum time to perform your fat burning exercises as your body is literally in fat burning mode. In addition to this, because you haven't eaten any food before the exercise your body will break down mostly fat in order to fuel your exercise session rather than food in your system. The idea is to leave our body no choice but to burn mostly fat.
A good breakfast is a 300 calorie (give or take) protein shake.
I personally recommend getting "muscle milk protein power".
Next you NEED to drink at least 64 oz of water a day. The more the merrier.
Lastly, wake up by at most 8 AM and workout about 1/2 hour BEFORE you eat. This will speed up your metabolism for the upcoming day.
Don't eat for the 3 hours before you go to bed.

No skipped meals.
Breakfast = Within an hour of getting up, biggest meal of the day, and before exercise in morning. (Protein shake is GOOD for breakfast!)

I want so badly to loose like 5-10pounds and tone up. I'm fat. I know it. I don't have a tummy. But I know my legs are just gross. ~ _ ~ I always excersize. Walking at least two hours a day. You walk which makes your legs stronger which make them bigger but if you wanna lose weight, try and walk a little bit faster when you walk and right after you walk, drink water and eat protein (fish, chicken, milk, etc). instead of eating fruit as a snack only, eat fruit before you eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. if you eat fruit before those meal times, then you will feel fuller quicker.

In the first place, your paper at present is all one paragraph! Yes, as the first answerer said, identify your thesis and state it clearly--and end the first paragraph there. (If the word "jazz" ends the first paragraph, it's still too long--you have an introduction almost as long as the whole body.)
The beginning is beautifully written, and it would be a shame to take out any of its evocative images. However, to help you get to the point sooner, you COULD save some of those details for a body paragraph or the conclusion.
