Colon Illness

The way those things sound they sound scary the way its done...I am 19 years oldI wanted one done because i saw blood in my stool. My doctor wouldn't allow me to have one and said i was way too young and that the blood is 99% chance from a benign source. I didn't buy this.. I went to other doctors but they keep saying the same thing and paying little attention... and then theres most of the Other doctors in my area that refuse to take me as a patient because I am under 21 years of age.. Am I being discriminated against??? Now if God forbid i have a serious illness like colon cancer, it would be because I was overlooked for it because i was " YOUNG", just like my friend who is now sufferening from colon cancer and he is about 30 years old though but still too young, and the doctors kept overlooking him......I am so scared, I fear this so much and i cant even get tested for this... Sigh I hiope i can get some advice.

Call a gastroenterologist. That is what they deal with. The colonoscopy is easy. The day before isn't fun but the alternative is worse. The docs are probably right. It's probably nothing, but if you are worried call the right doctor and get your answers.

my dad is currently suffering from colon cancer...is frequent vomiting related to his illness?

yes if it is not too late and it is not malignant, your dad can have surgery, chemotherapy, or radio therapy

I am the most illness and medical problem free person i have known in my 30+ years, despite leading a horribly unhealthy lifestyle.
I dont recall seeing anything in the media lately about colon cancer, here in Australia the focus tends to be on skin, breast and prostate cancer.

There are two possibilities here:

1) It could be a message from your subconscious to get a check-up. Edgar Cayce used to say that dreams about the body were particularly significant and were often messages to attend to health issues in waking life.

2) It could be symbolic. To dream that you have cancer denotes feeling hopelessness, grief, self-pity, and unforgiveness. You may feel as though you are wasting your life away. The dream could also represent areas in your life which are bothering you, disturbing you, and hurting you in some emotional way.

i have ulcerative colitis and had a colonoscopy done about 2 hours ago. bad news is i have the ulcerative colitis throughout my entire colon =[ will i ever get better? will i ever heal? please pray for me

I think it is realistic. It is hard to have hope when you are in pain. I hope you feel better soon. I think that a cure will be found in your lifetime although that is of little comfort now. I have tried something called Seacure (a predigested protein that seems to help me.) It smells terrible. It might help you. Also have you tried experimenting with your diet? Whatever may help. I will pray for your health.

i have a friend whos mom just died from liver cancer. she refused treatment becasue she had already gone through colon cancer.
