Eat a lot of prunes and dates. Wash them down with apple juice. It will clean you out fast.

I've been wanting to do a colon cleanse. I've never done one before. However, I heard you should do one if you are constipated and have little bowel movements. I have at least 2-3 bowel movements everyday. Should I do a colon cleanses? Is it really even necessary?

I certainly don't think it is necessary in your case. I don't understand why anyone would want to do that.

Eat foods high in fiber, both soluble and insoluble. Apples are high in soluble fiber and various nuts and grains, including oatmeal, are high in insoluble fiber. Without taking pills or having an enema, that's the best thing. However, you will need to eat a lot of these things.

If it's too difficult to do, you could try giving colon cleanse pills a shot. I got a free trial of IntraCleanse here -

Due to severe pain in my colon/bowels, my doctor wants to do a colonoscopy. He wants to check for abnormalities such as polyps and I have read that some polyps in the colon or bowel could be cancerous.

How common is it for young people under 30 to get colon/bowel cancer? I'm only 27. Especially if my diet hasn't been as healthy as it should have been. I eat a lot of red meat, I am also guilty of not eating enough fibre and have problems with constipation and straining with bowel movements, which I have read are all risks of getting colon/bowel cancer.

Cancer can happen to anyone at any age. Your chances are slim.
I know it's hard, but I hope you change your diet. 3 or 4 fresh veggies and 3 fresh friuts will help you SO much. Add 8-10 glasses of water and you will feel better in no time.

Personally, the benefiber and things like that just make me gassy. Feel better soon!!!!
